Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel

Dinner at Shang Palace last Monday
An unofficial food tasting session as well :P

An advocate of the fragrance of Chinese culture,
Shang Palace or more commonly known as 香宫 showcases Cantonese cuisine, provincial specialties and
Chinese tea culture in an ambiance of rich Chinese heritage.

22 Orange Grove Road
Lobby Level Shangri-La Hotel

It may look like we have ordered alot but the portions are actually pretty small :|
I called it the chinese fine dining style lol
Sautéed Scallop, Asparagus in Noodle Basket
Love the scallops! Plump, juicy and visibly fresh with a taste of the wide ocean
Asparagus were real crisp and the noodle basket acts as a good blotter, soaking up the flavorful sauteed sauce.
Wok Fried Wagyu Beef with Deep Fried Foie Gras and Apple
Other than the tender wagyu meat, I was very disappointed with this dish.
Reason being there was no presence of Foie gras or Apple! Totally not worth it :(
Deep Fried Pork Ribs
Fried to perfection yet not oily
Two In One Seafood Glass Noodles & Vermicelli
One of the best noodle dish I've ever had.
And am sure from the picture, you could tell the seafood is really fresh ^^
My pick from the dessert menu.
Crisp Green Tea Glutinous Rice Balls with Sesame filling
The Avocado Cream w Vanilla Ice Cream was superb too :P

We also had Stone Pot Cod Fish Tomato Soup & Double boiled Fish Maw Soup.
You gotta order Shang's soup just because their broth is rich & full of flavor *Slurps*

I simply adore the sweetness of the cod fish soup and the freshness in the large white flaky meat.
Fish maw soup was full of collagen which filmed my lips and couldn't resist almost finishing the whole bowl by myself hees
I'm never shocked when people let me down nowadays.
I just hate the fact that I put myself in a position to be let down in the first place.
