Gongguan District

I was invited to attend HP Printer Tea Party last Saturday but due to obvious reasons,
I wasn't able to attend & missed the chance to meet some of SG successful young entrepreneurs <(
Oh wells, till the next event!

Here's a snapshot of Taipei's evening peak hour rush ><
Not the cheapest 鲁肉饭/肉燥饭 around
but 胡鬚張 is still one of my favorite braised pork rice finds :D
Personalized staff tees : Formosa Chang
Packed w hungry peeps, including myself!
Fatty pork belly slices, pig trotters, bamboo shoot = a whole meal of indulgence!
I made a day trip to Gongguan simply because I miss the Fried Chicken
& is also one district I always visit whenever I am in Taipei!

PS, by the time this entry is posted, I have already been to Gongguan like thrice? Lol
Each time chancing upon new street food & below mentioned are those worth trying ;)

Take either Exit 1 or 4 to be on the same side where all the shops are.
Gongguan Night Market is Taipei City’s biggest market in the South district.
Although it is called night market, they operate in the day as well ^^
And since it is close proximity to National Taiwan University, the majority of customers are students.
Which means all the stores here are of reasonable prices in order to attract them (:
Here you go! The Fried Chicken shop which I highly recommend.
Thankgod finding it this time was a breeze!
Absolutely love how they fried the chicken to perfection. Super crispy yet meat is succulent & flavorful.
Usually I will order the rice set but decided to try noodles this time.
Please try the Kong Ba Pau directly opposite this bubble milk tea.
Sinfully addictive with the fatty pork, preserved vegetables and shaved peanut bits all in one mouthful!
Simple shopfront selling beancurd
Going at a price of NTD35 per bowl
There is an option of adding shaved ice, peanuts or both.
A good alternative to the usual cakes & pastries for dessert :')
Another reason to go Gongguan is becos they sell my favorite wheel pancake!!
The best thang is...only NTD10 each!! Affordable to the max :O
Wheel pancake is very common here. Some are more expensive yet not as good as the cheaper ones :|
(Sorry there isn't any pictures of the shop as the owners do not allow
so this is the closest I can get before they start screaming at me :X)
A rare snapshot of OTD ever since I arrived in Taiwan, if you realised d:
In a lace tank top kept warm w a green wolly cardigan and ultra-comfy suede booties!
One day at a time is enough.
Don't look back and grieve on the past, it's gone.
Don't be troubled about the future, it hasn't come yet.
Live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.

x
