Otto Ristorante

I took leave last Friday. So its a longg weekend and finally getting into the momentum of blogging :D
It was definitely a much needed break as I was on the verge of being over exhausted :'(

Last year, we bought mommykins a Blueberry Cheesecake from Hilton Hotel using vouchers on her birthday.
However, this year, she didn't want any but it just feel weird not having cakes & candles on birthdays :|
So I decided to get assorted flavors from Secret Recipe to surprise her :P
 Outfit/
HH Embroidery Cut-out Shoulder Top - Navy. Got it in white as well :P
Zara Floral Shorts
Tory Burch Pumps
Later in the evening, we went for dinner at Otto! A place where our family have been wanting to try ^^

Otto is located at Red Dot Traffic Building. You will see these letter boxes when you enter through the main entrance (:
We should have the current ones switched to this! #justsaying.
To the left. To the right.
Appetizer Menu
Started the meal with some soft Italian bread and on-the-house salmon which compliment the bread perfectly (:
As it was our first time there, we depended on the staff to give us recommendations.
He was really friendly, accommodating and patient in suggesting dishes which cater to our liking :D

For appetizers, we eventually went for the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio w mushroom, Parma Ham w Parmesan Cheese
and Mussels & Clams in white wine sauce.
I highly recommend the Parma Ham and Beef Carpaccio. THUMBS UP!
An Italian meal is incomplete without Pasta!

Clockwise starting from the left >
Linguine Boston Lobster in spicy light tomato gravy (Pretty average :/)
Tagliatelle w Foie Gras and Wagyu Beef Ragout (Italian's "Mee Pok" & my favorite out of all 3!)
Dutch Veal Ravioli w Sage and Truffle emulsion (A good alternative if you like exotic meat.)
I think its a great idea to order a few mains to share instead of one person one main.
This way, you can sample a bit of everything :D
The beef tenderloin was HEAVENLY. One word, PERFECTO!
And of course, one disadvantage of sharing is cannot have second serving :P
Coincidentally, my uncle and his family were at Otto that night too.
He knows the chef personally, so he brought him over to our table.
Lets all say Hi to Michele Pavanello, widely acclaimed Italian specialty chef!
On to the last part of our meal, Desserts!
Prior arriving at the restaurant, I have already pass the cakes to the kitchen. The cute part was, the staff played along in asking if we would still like to have desserts and even suggested a few off the menu hahaha!

I have no idea why the family asked me to decide on desserts (Not even a fan of sweet stuff o.O)
so I told them the staff will decide :P
He presented momsie with the Blueberry Cheesecake and
subsequently with the rest of the flavors (Marble Cheese, Apply Crumble and Durian) :D
Later at night I meet some friends for drinks.
Still can't believe we had to spend $155 on Moet Champagne just to enter &
I left the place with a wound on my forehead. WTF!

N'uff said!

Have a pleasant week ahead  x
