Artichoke Cafe + Arnold's Fried Chicken

July's first weekend is coming to an end..how is it treating you so far?
I been terribly busy recently and its basically work, home, sleep, work and the circle repeats again ;(
Absolutely cant wait for the upcoming R&R trip! Much needed!

Pictures from dinner at a Vietnamese Restaurant, along Amoy Street.
We had the mix starter, noodle soup and macaroni with beef (interesting!)
Spontaneous lunch at Artichoke Cafe & Bar on Saturday (:
I literally walked past the cafe without even realizing it was there. Quite ulu situated, may I add.
Anyway, it is located at Sculpture Square, between the junction of Middle Road and Waterloo Street (5mins away from Bugis).
Only when you are facing the cafe in this direction, only will you see Artichoke chalk-written on the red wall :|
We arrived without a reservation and thankfully, we didn't have to wait long for a table.
So I was surprised to hear that the staff are disorganized and could not handle the weekend crowd o.O
A more detail menu for your reference.
This place is highly raved as one of the best brunch places in Singapore and
I love the fact that the cafe has a nice laid-back feel which sets the tone for a lazy afternoon.
Alfresco dining area is an good alternative if the heat is bearable for you.
I’d definitely go for the Lamb Shakshouka.
It reminded me of the Tunisian Breakfast that is similarly presented like the one at Wild Honey
Two eggs baked in tomato sauce with braised lamb, yogurt cheese and toast. The braised lamb was deeeeelicious!
SP had Salmon and Beetroot and his first comment was,
"Mine doesn't look appetizing one" with his eyes lingering on my order lol
The boy is just not a fan of healthy living aka greens :<
Me doing my thang while the boy waited with his "Can I eat now?" expression. Tsktsk.
We didnt have the chance to check out the indoor area and
I know they have a Greenhouse which is like a private dining room which I didn't see as well. Boohoo.

Met up with Nic to settle some stuff and we had the the popular Arnold's Fried Chicken.
The queue is craziee so be prepared to wait.
Loveee the fries! Medium sized and salt-free :D
Personally, I wouldn't recommend the Fish&Chips. Stick to their specialty, Fried Chicken!
On a side note, Fashion News!
Recently, peplum fever is everywhere..From tops to skirts and dresses.
And if you always wonder how you can fully utilize the design, I have the answer for you right here! lol
Till then!
