Before I start, let me share with you an awesome news I received last week which i conveniently forgot to mention in my earlier post #guilty.

This will be my first time catching it live and I am looking forward to it so much! Mad excited :D

Ok back to our Rome trip, we departed from Florence early afternoon and
arrived in Rome on the same day and we set off straight for the many delights Rome has to offer.
arrived in Rome on the same day and we set off straight for the many delights Rome has to offer.
These can only be truly appreciated by wandering slowly through the labyrinth of narrow streets and beautiful squares which have developed over many centuries, creating an amazing legacy for us today, like the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona, with its lively cafes.
First up, Trevi Fountain.
Monumental Baroque fountain depicting Neptune, god of sea.
Legend has it that you will return to Rome if you toss a coin in its waters.
Color blocking trend spotted! Heh!
The Pantheon
Originally a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome in 27 BC and rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian in about 126 AD, it still features the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.
Entrance of The Pantheon. Very grand!
This is really a HOLE!! Rain or shine, the Pantheon is still open to public so no worries!
St. Peter's Basilica.
Founded in 324 AD on the traditional site of St. Peter's tomb, the Basilica was rebuilt in the 16th century by Renaissance masters including Bramante, Michelangelo and Bernini.

It’s a fresh day at Rome and we got up early to set off for the Vatican City tour :D
The queue was crazy! Thankfully, Clare had us on earlier-than-normal wake up call for that day :P
Artistic masterpieces collected and commissioned by the Popes and displayed in the Vatican Museums.
Oddly, this is the only human sculpture which has "real eyes". The rest are crafted instead.
FYI, no bermudas for the men and no short skirts (above knees) for the women.
It just crazy every corner you turn, you will find masterpieces and each and every of them has a mega long history :|
Such an indescribable feeling to live in a country with a rich history.
Sistine Chapel
The Pope is living in one of the rooms up there (:
Lights on means hes out? I can't remember hahaha!
The Colosseum
From 80 AD, it was used bby Roman emperors to entertain the public with free games, including fights to the death between gladiators who were usually slaves, prisoners of war or condemned criminals.
Even the pigeons in Italy are so romantic! :P
YO! Hahaha!
Vintage car.
Spanish Steps.
Ok, I don’t know why the Spanish Steps is so famous actually.
It’s just a lot of stairs :|
Right in front of the steps is another main shopping street where you find your usual Prada, Louis Vuitton, etc.
REALLY GOT A LOT OF PEOPLE!!
Our feet were so sore from all the walking! Was literally craving for foot reflexology.
Our farewell dinner Clare organized for us!
We had such a heartwarming meal with our travel companions ^^
I love how the Ang Mohs can chat with people they meet for the first time like they knew them for a long time!
This is something we Asians must learn :|
06/05
We decided to make it our last day in Rome worthwhile and tried to run some last minute errands at Via Condotti.
It was a rainy morning in Rome that day.
Even if we were sitting indoors, it was still quite cold!
Pass by this random place and I am so glad we gave it a chance though!
The lasagne and tomato-based pasta was SO good!
Pasta served in Singapore tends to be softer (to the extend of overcooked)
whereas in Italy, it is chewier and it definitely took us some time to get used to it.
Yummy *Slurps*
I can literally have this every week with extra cheese, please! :P
And we had the best gelato in Rome! I miss it so much :(
The ones in Singapore just cant seem to measure up.
Finally, my travelogue of my Europe trip is completed.
Its been a wonderful trip and we are extremly satisfied with the services of Trafalgar, Clare, our travel Director and Driver.
Can't wait to be back again!
