Our First Paris Experience

This is my second time in Paris (and SP's first!), nevertheless I’m utterly thrilled!
They call Paris the City of Love and Lights.
It may sound really cliche, but to me, I can really feel the love in here.
Our Europe trip will start from Paris, then to Lucerne, Venice, Florence and to Rome for another 2 days before we head home.

29/04
The meeting point for our group was at 79 York Road, London at 630am.
It was a cold and rainy morning and best part was, we had to run with our luggage because the cab driver insisted that the place he dropped us was the right address :|
How would 39 York Road be the same?? Geez!

Anyway, moving on! We reached the jetty to board the ferry across to France :D
Our hotel is at La Defense. Location of the hotel is really convenient because it’s near an underground station,
right next to a huge shopping mall and it’s absolutely gorgeous! :)

The bedroom is super comfortable with a huge bed with 4 fluffy pillows!
The most awesome thing is it has a mini walk-in wardrobe and a huge bathroom! Everything is nicely proportioned.
We had a short rest before leaving for an early welcome dinner :D
We were blown away when we were on our way in the tour bus and saw this!

Gorgeous beyond imagination.

*Spot the Arc de Triomphe!
Dinner was at this restaurant, Le Rotisseur. Food was yummy to the max. And the Creme Brulee was MASSIVE!
We shared the table with a Philippines couple from Washington, DC and they are so friendly people.
The next day, we set off to the beautiful Eiffel Tower and Moulin Rouge!
A few more make-you-go-wow pictures of the main attractions before we call it a day ^^
30/4
Rise and Shine to Day 2 of Paris.
Buffet Breakfast. Be spoilt for choices.
Our breakfast!
And it’s time to set out for some sightseeing! And I see a glimpse of the tower! Whoopidoo!
Driving parallel by the lake.
TADAH
I was SO excited when I first set eyes on the tower!
Although, I’ve been here once before, I am still in awe!
It’s majestic and breathtaking!
It was my dream to come here with my partner (:

One of the many advantages being part of a tout package is we skip all the queue and beat most of them to be up the tower when its least crowded :P

The view is really nice and it’s really cool to be able to check out the city at such great heights!
His signature pose ><
More peektures with the beauty :D
Look of the Day!
All suited up on black and white.

Right in front of the Arc is Champs Elysee, a long shopping street with lots of shops and cafes.
Check out Ave Montaigne for more brand shopping as well.
We spent the rest of our afternoon at these two places (:

And how pretty is their Chanel store *looks dreamily*
Putting aside SP's fake grump expression (heh!), one of the locals favorite past time is to find a cafe and do nothing other than drinking coffee, people watching and seeing time fly by.

According to the tour guide, it is more expensive to have alfresco seating as shop owners need to pay taxes for public area but most would still prefer to do so cause of the nice weather.
Have you noticed that they are all facing in the same direction? hahaha!

We took a Metro back home. But as we’re not very familiar with how the transport system works, we ended up walking around looking for a station which has ticket machines.
Their system is more jialat than London *Tsk*

Next up on the itinerary, is dinner and cabaret @ world famous Moulin Rouge.
M.R is the original Paris Cabaret which features 60 dancers and entertainers and over 100 costumes.
I would have wanted to share more pictures but according to rules and regulations, camera is not allowed (although I had mine in the bag, I didn't dare risk it ><).

Ambiance was romantic and dinner was cosy. Oh! Just fyi, performance has no relation to the movie.
A perfect city to spend our anniversary together <3

Au revoir Paris!
