En Route Venice < Lucerne >

01/05
We stopped by Lucerne, Switerland for a night while on the way to Venice.

Just a brief history of this city~
Lucerne was first mentioned in 840 AD.
"Luciaria", as Lucerne was originally known, means light in Latin, or more specifically the light from an angel that showed the first inhabitants where to build a chapel.
To this day Lucerne is referred to as the City of Lights. With 60,000 inhabitants the city is the capital of the canton of the same name.
Centrally located in the heart of Europe, Lucerne is one of the world's six most frequently visited cities.

Visited the Chapel Bridge x Musegg Wall & Its Towers x Bucherer
Paradise for Chocolate lovers and macrons were going for 1Euro each! :D
Other tourist sites we covered included old Swiss House x Lion Monument.

The dying lion of Lucerne, carved into natural rock, was created in1820/1821 in memory of the Swiss heroes who gave their lives at the Tuileries in Paris 1792.
Outfit x Boyfriend Denim Shirtdress paired with leggings and Ugg boots! (:

Comfy to the max for long coach rides :P
Check in at the hotel before dinner (:
Luggage are usually placed outside our rooms in advance! Efficient service!
It was a pleasant 3 course meal. The cook prepared what & we just eat hahaha!
02/05
The next morning, we skipped one of the optional tours and headed to Bucherer again. Just a short bus ride of 7mins from our hotel.
Check out the breathtaking scenery just a few steps from our hotel.
And we being silly ><
This time, we had time to stroll on the Chapel Bridge.
It was built in 1333 and features a number of gable paintings. In August 1993, the Chapel Bridge was seriously damaged by fire, to be rebuilt within just eight months.
The octagonal water tower was a watchtower in the 13th century and later became a jail and torture chamber.
A quick tour and we were whisked off to Venice!! :D

Sights along the countryside.
