More Than Just Bread

The hard-earned gift has arrived last week! :D
Be prepared to see plenty of my upcoming outfits matched with it!
So exquisite! A classic which will not go out of style for a long long time (:
Puffs & Custard are my recipes this week :D
As you can tell, I'm still very much excited about baking. My interest lasted longer than I expected lol
At times (in fact most of the time), I feel disheartened that it doesn't turn out as well as expected despite trying a few attempts at the same dish.
Nevertheless, I'm still determined to succeed! (:
Made 2 batches during my first attempt of custard and its tougher than I thought! wtf! lol
And both times failed terribly >< Too hard and lumpy.
Will share my recipe once I got the proportions right. So blogfam, please be patient with me (:

Craving satisfied at Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ :D
KIMCHI JUNGGOL
Captured my favorite birdie (I name it the Yellow Bird) who dropped by for a home visit :P
Look Left. Look Right. lol
After my hair treatment, it's tea break at Paul Ngee Ann City.
We were attracted by the large crowds gathering outside for both takeaway and dine in.
Be prepared to queue if you decide to lunch at this French bakery-restaurant without a reservation.
If you are early, or lucky, you may get a table by the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Orchard Road.
The 120-seater restaurant is all stylish French-inspired decor with chandeliers and plush sofa chairs.

The menu is extensive. Choose from salads, crepes, potato pancakes, and mains from its all-day dining menu.
We wanted to try everything cos it looks so good in pictures!!
I mentioned in pictures cos the food which came wasn't as good and the drinks were served lukewarm! Boo!
The most popular dish so far is Piece de Boeuf (beef sirloin with salad, fried potatoes and shallots. You may want to try the Paillasson Champignons (a buttery and slightly crispy rosti topped with plump, juicy brown mushrooms and served with a salad) and the Chocolate Millefeuille (layers of chocolate cream between fluffy puff pastry).

Flavored Milk with Hazelnut and Coco Milk with whipped cream

Lemon Meringue and Napoleon Puff
Lemon tart was really sour and the pastry of the puff tasted burnt >< #disappointed

Similarly, there are other gourmet bakeries which sell artisanal loaves and provide a dining experience as well such as Nick Vina (Icon Village), Baker & Cook (Hillcrest Road) and Maison Kayser (Scotts Square). Do give them a try (:

In a series of failed #OTDs shots.........before a decent one! ><
In HH's new arrival > Sleeveless Curve Hem Pocket Tank - Black
Made of the all time favourite jersey cotton!! It is so comfortable!!
*Spot the Chanel necklance :P

Part II of the weekend up next. Stay tuned.
